We are very excited to share the wee video from Jenn + Naomi’s fusion queer wedding in Glasgow. We had been really looking forward to film their celebration ever since the Skype conversation we had with them both. Afterwards, we met up for a coffee and cake and knew instantly their wedding is going to be unique and personal.

Mitchell Library / Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum

First, the couple chose Mitchell Library in Glasgow for the ceremony. And Cantor Lisa Segal as their officiant. Because of it, the egalitarian Jewish ceremony was beautifully crafted by the cantor. Before the ceremony, Jenn and Naomi were asked by Cantor Lisa to write the love letters to each other. Some parts of their love letters were carefully chosen by Lisa and her husband and written into a dialogue. The one another heard their letters for the first time during the ceremony. To see their smiles and hear their laughs was priceless.

Secondly, the wedding had many unique, fun and DIY elements. The Chuppah was one of them, another one was a painted Ketubah. And, let’s not forget Jenn and Naomi’s gorgeous outfits. They both looked stunning: Jenn in her wedding dress and vintage jewellery pieces and Naomi in a bespoke suit and a flower crown.

Finally, the evening reception at the brilliant Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. The room with its arty vibe, wild flowers, table decorations and cake, was a perfect backdrop for the party. O yes, the cake. It looked so delicious!

The evening part had also many Scottish and Jewish elements, including the Hora and Scottish ceilidh dancing. Everyone had fun and the whole day was a feast of love and inclusiveness. We love how they put together an event that was an expression of them both. For us, it is always a privilege to document all! No wonder their celebration got featured in Rock n’ Roll Bride and if you would like to know more about their magical day, just click here.
