Glencoe elopement videographer capturing Eathen and Kara at Buachaile Etive Mor, Scotland

Glencoe Elopement Videographer

Eathen and Kara travelled all the way from Portland, Oregon, to Glencoe, Scotland, for an intimate elopement beneath Buachaille Etive Mòr. Their day was relaxed, intimate and incredibly personal, exactly the kind of story I love to capture on film.

Buachaille Etive Mòr: An Unforgettable Elopement Setting

Buachaille Etive Mòr provides a breathtaking setting for an intimate elopement, giving couples the chance to celebrate their love surrounded by the dramatic beauty of the Scottish Highlands. With its rugged mountains, sweeping landscapes and ever-changing light, Glencoe creates a truly unforgettable backdrop for a wedding film.

As an elopement videographer, my aim is to capture more than just the beautiful scenery. I want to preserve the emotions, quiet moments and genuine connection that make each couple’s day unique. From exchanging vows beneath the mountains to walking together through the landscape, every moment becomes part of a story that reflects who you are as a couple.

An elopement at Buachaille Etive Mòr is more than simply a wedding in a beautiful location. It is an intimate celebration of your love, surrounded by one of Scotland’s most spectacular landscapes — and a story you can return to for years to come.

A Relaxed Morning at Camden House

Eathen and Kara got ready at Camden House, where the morning was relaxed, easy-going, and full of laughter. There were plenty of good vibes, happy moments, and time to simply enjoy being together before heading off to Glencoe to get hitched.

A Glencoe elopement offers something truly special for couples looking to escape tradition and celebrate their love in nature. With its dramatic peaks, winding roads and ever-changing weather, the Scottish Highlands create an atmosphere that feels both cinematic and deeply romantic.

After the ceremony, we headed to Kilchurn Castle, and oh my, what an amazing place! With Highland cows wandering around, the beautiful loch, and the castle sitting perfectly in the background, it was such a brilliant spot to explore and capture some more moments with Eathen and Kara.

Why I Love Being a Scotland Elopement Videographer

What I love most about being a Scotland elopement videographer is that every couple brings something completely different to their day. There’s no set way things have to happen, and that’s what makes elopements so special. It’s about creating a day that feels like you, rather than trying to fit into a traditional wedding template.

I love the little moments just as much as the big ones. The nervous excitement while getting ready, the laughs that happen when nobody is quite sure what they’re doing, holding hands while walking through the Highlands, and those quiet moments when a couple can simply stop and take everything in. These are the moments that tell the real story of a wedding day.

For me, filming an elopement isn’t just about creating a beautiful wedding film. It’s about capturing how the day felt — the laughter, the excitement, the scenery, the little in-between moments and everything that made it uniquely yours.

That’s why I feel so lucky to call myself a Scotland elopement videographer. I get to meet amazing people, explore some of the most beautiful places in Scotland (like Glencoe and Buachaille Etive Mòr) , and turn a few hours of one incredible day into something you can watch and feel all over again for years to come. I get to turn real moments into memories couples can treasure forever.

There are so many resons to why we love capturing the elopements in Scotland. The pace of elopement is different to the pace of the wedding day. As a couple you have the freedom to create elopement experience that is authentic to you as a couple and to your relationship.

Plus, Scotland offers so many epic and iconic places to tie the knot. One of our favourite locations for capturing elopements, alongside the beautiful Loch Lomond and The Trossachs, is Glencoe Valley in the Scottish Highlands. If you’re considering an elopement around Loch Lomond, you can also take a look at Jaimie & Mike’s Loch Lomond Elopement at Cameron House for a glimpse into what an intimate Highland celebration can look like.

No matter where you elope, if it is in the lush woodlands, The Hermitage in Perthshire, on the wild and enchanted Isle of Skye or on the remote island, in the vast and beautiful Cairngorms or if it is a magical Loch Lomond elopement, you would have an unforgettable experience.
